For all of this show’s ridiculousness, Bauer’s emotional arcs have always been touching, and I’ve always been impressed by Sutherland’s ability to seamlessly swap between “TELL ME WHERE THE DEVICE IS!” and “I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS ANYMORE!” It will be exciting to see how 24‘s writers handle this 12-episode mini-series, which, unlike previous seasons of 24, will actually skip through the clock, jumping between hours rather than showing us an entire day.
